Mauterndorf Castle and Lungau Folk Museum
Immerse yourself in the fascinating middle ages at the historic Mauterndorf Castle with its 44 m-tall fortified tower. This castle is an interesting attraction for young and old guests alike. This castle is also home to the Lungau Folk Museum. The castle is open from 1 May – 31 October!
Golf Club Lungau
Play a great round of golf in Salzburg’s beautiful Lungau region. This well-groomed 18-hole golf course is surrounded by beautiful views. There is plenty of room for beginners and pros at this course with large practice areas and a charming 9-hole par 3 course.
Adventure Park Katschberg
Visit Carinthia’s coolest high-ropes course. This course leads through the tree tops of the Katschberg forest and requires courage and skill! The absolute highlight is the Flying Fox Park where adventure-hungry visitors can fly through the air on zip lines.
Taurach Railway
The Taurach Railway is Austria’s highest-altitude narrow-gauge museum railway and a fun family activity in the Lungau region of the Province of Salzburg. From June until September, this historic steam engine runs through the Taurach valley in the Province of Salzburg from Mauterndorf to St Andrä and back.
